I used google sites for three of my group projects last semester. It kept everyone in the group up to date on our progress. Also, all information for the project was accessible from any computer. Google sites really was a great asset!

hmmmm... Can't trust Google now, at least in the way I had become used to. You may close the Sites also and then may be offer some export where some features won't work just like CSS and JS in Pages. Anyway thanks that it happened otherwise I was becoming 100% Google dependent. That was obviously a mistake. Now I have started to decentralize my services like blogs and even email. And you give hardly any customization in Sites.
Moral of the story: never become dependent on any one service provider be it Google or any other.

last week I had to do a presentation on Sildenafil for my science class and I used Google Docs and the result was pretty good like I did it with Microsoft Powerpoint!
