We want to hear from you! What's your Google Apps story?

Guest Post: Emily is a senior at Emory University, majoring in Business and Biology and is currently a Google Student Ambassador at her school. Last summer, she worked as an intern on the Google Apps for Education team and is excited to be starting at Google full-time in the fall. Here she highlights the new Google Apps Student Stories page.

While I was interning at Google last summer, I had the chance to work on Google Apps for Education and was surprised and delighted to see how much the team focuses on user feedback. For example, you might have heard a while back about the Google bus which visited ten universities across the US to hear how schools - and students at those schools - were using Google Apps. Learning how students use the products, and better understanding their challenges, was the method to help build better, more useful tools.

Even though we don’t have the bus anymore, I wanted to help make it possible for students to directly express how they’re using Apps in their daily lives, so one of my internship projects was to launch a Google Apps Student Stories page.

This page allows students - like me - to upload a short video about how we use Apps on our own campuses both inside and outside the classroom. Through the page, any student can share a story about one of the individual Google Apps products or the entire Apps suite as a whole. Listening to what other students have to say might give you some good ideas about how you can creatively apply some of the uses in your own life.

Checkout these student videos from Emory were we discuss some inventive ways we use Docs, Translate, and Calendar on our campus!

On top of sharing with other people how you use Apps, the best submitted videos will be featured on the Google Apps Student Stories page, the Google Student Blog, and the Google Student YouTube Channel.
