Everyday, Googlers work on cool things that matter. We think student veterans should have the same opportunity. Each summer, Google sponsors the Google Student Veterans Summit, an all-expense paid, two-day event at our Mountain View headquarters. This year, up to 50 student veterans will be selected to attend the summit from July 27th to July 29th. With this in mind, our team is pleased to announce that the 2014 application has launched for the Google Student Veterans Summit.

This Google Student Veteran Summit includes a professional development curriculum designed to help veterans brush up their business skills and ensure a smooth transition to the civilian workplace. Participants will also meet members of Google’s Veteran community and get an inside look at the company’s unique culture of impact and collaboration.

Please review the Google Student Veterans Summit website for more details. The deadline to apply is Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. PST. All decisions will be communicated to applicants in June 2014.

Questions about the program can be directed to studentveterans@google.com.

Team spirit and mental mettle abound and with this year’s theme of “Greats of the 1980s” the Games are set to be totally radical!

After kicking off on March 29th in Washington, DC, The Google Games visited Boulder, Seattle, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and New York City with seven more events scheduled to take place across North America in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for more fun photos and the list of champions from each of the Games’ sites and in the meantime, be sure to check out photos from last year’s superhero-themed Games.
